{"id":354,"date":"2017-08-02T10:48:01","date_gmt":"2017-08-02T14:48:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ingenieriaindustrial-usach.cl\/?p=354"},"modified":"2017-11-23T10:31:55","modified_gmt":"2017-11-23T13:31:55","slug":"experto-reduccion-de-velocidad-urbana-disminuira-un-10-accidentes-fatales-al-ano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ingenieriaindustrial-usach.cl\/en\/noticias\/experto-reduccion-de-velocidad-urbana-disminuira-un-10-accidentes-fatales-al-ano\/","title":{"rendered":"Experto: Reducci\u00f3n de velocidad urbana disminuir\u00e1 un 10% accidentes fatales al a\u00f1o"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El especialista en log\u00edstica y transporte, acad\u00e9mico del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial de nuestra Casa de Estudios, Dr. Juan Pedro Sep\u00falveda descarta que el proyecto de convivencia vial, que busca bajar la velocidad m\u00e1xima de 60 a 50 km\/h, logre reducir en un 25% las muertes, como estima Conaset. \u201cBajar la velocidad m\u00e1xima en estos t\u00e9rminos no tendr\u00e1, en estricto rigor, un gran impacto en la velocidad promedio de los traslados de las personas\u201d, asegura.<\/p>\n<p>Un proyecto de ley de convivencia de modos de transporte que se encuentra en el Senado busca disminuir la velocidad de los veh\u00edculos que circulan por  la ciudad, desde los 60 hasta los 50 km\/h, para igualar el est\u00e1ndar de los pa\u00edses de la OCDE. Seg\u00fan la secretaria ejecutiva de Conaset, Gabriela Rosende, se pretende lograr el efecto contrario a 2002, en que se aument\u00f3 la velocidad de 50 a 60 kil\u00f3metros por hora, lo que termin\u00f3 provocando que la cifra de accidentes fatales se elevara en un 25%.<br \/>\nEl experto en log\u00edstica y transporte, y acad\u00e9mico del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Dr. Juan Pedro Sep\u00falveda, reconoce que la medida va en la direcci\u00f3n correcta, ya que la velocidad con la que circulan los veh\u00edculos se relaciona directamente con el n\u00famero de fallecidos por accidentes.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, el especialista sostiene que la disminuci\u00f3n en la cantidad de muertos por esta causa solo alcanzar\u00e1 el 10% cada a\u00f1o con esta modificaci\u00f3n, ya que la reducci\u00f3n de 10 km\/h aun es marginal. \u201cBajar la velocidad m\u00e1xima en estos t\u00e9rminos no tendr\u00e1, en estricto rigor, un gran impacto en la velocidad promedio de los traslados de las personas\u201d, asegura.<\/p>\n<p>El experto en congesti\u00f3n vehicular se\u00f1ala que el cambio que se realiz\u00f3 en 2002 solo se tradujo en un aumento de 21 a 25 km\/h en la velocidad promedio con la que circularon veh\u00edculos en Santiago desde 2001 a 2005.<\/p>\n<h4>Congesti\u00f3n<\/h4>\n<p>Por otra parte, el acad\u00e9mico recalca que la modificaci\u00f3n no tendr\u00e1 un gran impacto en la congesti\u00f3n vehicular, ya que la iniciativa tambi\u00e9n se hace cargo de incentivar alternativas como la bicicleta, con mejores est\u00e1ndares para ciclov\u00edas y estableciendo con mayor precisi\u00f3n sus derechos y deberes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLa idea es incentivar a que la gente deje su veh\u00edculo en la casa\u201d, indica el Dr. Sep\u00falveda. Para ello, concluye que tambi\u00e9n es clave realizar modificaciones al transporte p\u00fablico que le permitan desplazarse de manera m\u00e1s fluida en zonas donde no hay v\u00edas
