El Dr. Luis Quezada tiene la jerarquía de Profesor Titular.  Es actualmente Director del Departamento de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile. En Docencia ha impartido cursos de pre y posgrado en las áreas de Gestión de Operaciones, Gestión Estratégica y Formulación de Proyectos. Sus áreas de interés en Investigación son Gestión de Operaciones, Gestión Estratégica, Estrategias de Manufactura y Métodos de Decisión Multicriterio.

El Dr. Quezada es Presidente de la «International Foundation for Production Research» (http://www.ifpr-icpr.net). Fue Director de Desarrollo Institucional de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile en el periodo 2012-2016 y es miembro del Consejo de Acreditación del Área de Tecnología de la Agencia Acreditadora Colegio de Ingenieros de Chile S.A., Acredita CI.
